Im Juni ist die Rohstahlerzeugung um 27 % im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat gefallen, nachdem es bereits im April und Mai gravierende R\u00fcckg\u00e4nge gegeben hatte. Im zweiten Quartal 2020 hat die Produktion das Niveau des Vorjahres um 26 % unterschritten, nachdem sie bereits im ersten Vierteljahr um 6 % gesunken war. Damit liegt die Stahlerzeugung im ersten Halbjahr 2020 rund 16 % unter dem Vorjahreszeitraum.<\/p><p><strong>EU-Gipfel einigt sich auf Corona-Paket<\/strong><br \/>Die 27 EU-Mitgliedsstaaten haben sich nach mehr als vier Tage andauernden Verhandlungen auf ein insgesamt rund 1,8 Bill. Euro schweres Haushalts- und Finanzpaket verst\u00e4ndigt. Davon seien 1074 Mrd. Euro f\u00fcr den siebenj\u00e4hrigen Haushaltsrahmen der EU und weitere 750 Mrd. Euro f\u00fcr ein Konjunktur- und Investitionsprogramm gegen die Folgen der Pandemiekrise vorgesehen. Die Gesamtsumme dieses Corona-Fonds sei damit gegen\u00fcber dem Vorschlag der EU-Kommission unver\u00e4ndert, angepasst werde jedoch das Verh\u00e4ltnis von Zusch\u00fcssen und Krediten. So seien Zusch\u00fcsse in H\u00f6he 390 Mill. Euro anstelle von urspr\u00fcnglich 500 Mrd. Euro vorgesehen, erg\u00e4nzt durch 360 Milliarden Euro, die als Kredite vergeben w\u00fcrden.<\/p><p><strong>Stahlindustrie begr\u00fc\u00dft Handlungskonzept Stahl<\/strong><br \/>Die Bundesregierung unterst\u00fctzt die deutsche Stahlindustrie bei ihrer Transformation zu einer klimafreundlichen Produktion und will sie vor unfairem Wettbewerb sch\u00fctzen. Mit dem vom BMWi erarbeiteten und gestern vom Bundeskabinett beschlossenen Handlungskonzept Stahl stelle sich die Bundesregierung eindeutig hinter eine wettbewerbsf\u00e4hige, zukunftsf\u00e4hige Stahlindustrie am Standort Deutschland, betonte Bundeswirtschaftsminister Peter Altmaier. Hans J\u00fcrgen Kerkhoff, Pr\u00e4sident der Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl, begr\u00fc\u00dfte das Konzept. Es adressiere die Herausforderungen f\u00fcr die Branche. Die kommenden Monate m\u00fcssten nun genutzt werden, um die Folgen der Corona-Pandemie zu bew\u00e4ltigen, eine neue Stahl-Importkrise zu verhindern und faire Wettbewerbsbedingungen in der Energie- und Klimapolitik zu schaffen.
